Reminder

Posted Date: 09/10/26 (09:48 AM)

As basketball season begins, I would like to remind everyone of the important role we play in creating a positive experience for our students, coaches, officials, and fellow families from opposing teams.  Basketball games are a way for our community to come together, support each other, and celebrate.  We encourage everyone to cheer on our school, but also to remember that how we cheer matters.  Please be respectful towards players, coaches, and officials.  Disagreements and frustration over calls are part of competition, but negative comments, arguing with officials, obscene language, or disrespectful behavior have no place in our stands or at our school events. Our children are watching us.  They learn from the example we set, and we want them to see that it is possible to support our team while still showing kindness, class, and good sportsmanship.

Whether we are at home or away, let’s make our basketball games a place where everyone feels welcome and supported.  Cheer for our Indians.  Encourage our athletes.  Respect the game.  But above all, model the behavior we want our students to carry with them.

Let’s Go Indians!!
