About Us

The history of Doyle Elementary is deeply rooted in White County.  Doyle School was originally established as Doyle College-Institute in 1884.  The name of the school was to honor the heirs of Harvey Doyle who had settled in the area from South Carolina.  Doyle College ultimately closed, and Doyle Elementary was built in 1948.  Tragically, that building burned in 1967, with only the gym remaining.  Today, Doyle Elementary remains a staple of the community and serves students grades K-5.
